T / year 2 with the company / machining department
Q. Please tell me the content of your work

A. For machining, we receive a drawing from the customer and immediately create a program to operate the machine and process it.
In order to use the created program, the next step is to change the machine's tools and set the plate.
Communication with employees is important to ensure a smooth process. In addition, in order to use time effectively, we review programs and tools every day for processing.

Q.What have you gained through your work, or are there any memorable episodes or memories?

A.When I first saw the drawings after joining the company, I had no idea what to make with the plates or how to process them.
However, as I created programs and inspected plates, I gradually came to understand the role of the holes in the plates and the tolerances required for the holes, and now I work while imagining the role of the holes in each plate. I am.
We have also grown to the point where we can respond to mistakes in customers' drawings by creating them while imagining them.

Q. Please give me some advice regarding your work.

A. My first job after joining the company was operating machines.
Toyo Precision has many machines for processing plates, and you will need to learn how to operate them.
It is very important to take good notes during the first month. I think it can be confusing because there are so many things you don't understand, but please learn each one firmly so that you can use it as your weapon.

It is also important to not leave things you don't understand or have doubts about, and to ask questions of your senior colleagues until you are satisfied.
Please rest assured that we will teach you in a very easy to understand manner.

Q. Please tell me the content of your work

A.I am in charge of a CAD/CAM operator in the machining department. We create machining programs using software.

Q. What is the reason and motivation for choosing this job?

A.I came from a liberal arts background and had little experience in manufacturing, but I realized that the job of carefully reading drawings and repeatedly checking to make sure there were no mistakes in the programs I created was a way to utilize my strengths. I chose this job.
I approach my work with a sense of tension and responsibility, as even the slightest mistake can lead to defects.

Q.What have you gained through your work, or are there any memorable episodes or memories?

A. At first, I found it very difficult to understand the drawings while considering the features and roles of each plate. However, while creating programs for various drawings, I gradually began to understand the purpose of holes and grooves in drawings.
Every shape on the drawing has a role, and it can be difficult to process them accurately without omitting them, but I learn something different every time.
I find it interesting that even a single drawing can be completely different depending on the designer and client.

Also, when I went to JIMTOF (Japan International Machine Tool Fair), I was overwhelmed by the huge number of processing machines and industrial products, but I also found that I was able to interact with many people and see things that we use casually. I was able to realize once again that work is involved.
I also feel that the fact that my work is related to these industrial products, and by extension supporting people's lives, is what motivates me to do this work.

Q.Please tell me what you felt after joining the company.

A.When I joined the company, I learned a lot of things that I didn't know, such as that there are various machines and processing methods, and how things that we use on a daily basis are made.
At first, I worked without really understanding what the things I was making were being used for.
As we participate in exhibitions that display plates and the products made using them, and as we work, we learn how the plates we make are used and how the finished products are used in various places around the world. When I learned that things were being used, I became more interested in manufacturing and found my work more rewarding.

A. I've been working at the company for about 25 years, mainly in charge of the wire cutting department. During this time, I also worked in other departments.
